Kia is a Certified Reiki Practioner (Japanese energy healing), Kundalini Yoga Instructor and has been practicing Qi Gong (ancient Chinese method of self-healing) for several years. She has a degree in Psychology and studies numerous meditation techniques. Kia does not subscribe to one particular philosophy or tradition but among her interests are Buddhism, Tao healing, and Tantra. In her personal life, she leads a fairly Zen lifestyle and in her spare time enjoys running her dogs, swimming, dancing in drum circles and watching movies. Kia is passionate about helping individuals and couples in the areas of addiction; body image; sexuality; intimacy; and life/career transition. 

Note: The most literal English translation of geisha is "performing artist which is quite different from the popular Western perception of geisha as being prostitutes. My use of the term Geisha is more aligned with the work of a traditional Japanese Geisha whose professional role involved entertaining her guest through dance, music, poetry and an educated wit. Successful Geisha demonstrated beauty, grace, artistic talent, charm and impeccable etiquette and refinement. I would like to take this role to another level by incorporating a more spiritual and healing function as opposed to pure entertainment.
